Training

 

Hany Heshmat is of an Egyptian origin by his father and Belgian by his mother. He has pursued his musical studies at the Royal Conservatories of Music of Liège and Mons in Belgium. He obtained a master diploma of Guitar under the direction of Odair Assad, and master diploma of chamber music under the direction of J.P. Peuvion.

 

Distinction

 

In addition to his studies, he had the opportunity to refine his skills in master classes with guitarists such as J. Clerch, C. Cotsiolis and D. Tannenbaum. In 2002, he obtained the second prize at the International Guitar Festival of Corfu (Greece) for contemporary music for guitar. He devotes a significant part of his musical energy promoting the actual guitar music in collaboration with composers such as J.Y. Colmant, C. Ledoux and C. Lenners.

 

Passion

 

He performs regularly as a soloist and with ensembles of chamber music, notably with the violinist Vania Lecuit, the mandolin and guitar ensemble of Esch-sur-Alzette (Luxembourg) and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Luxembourg.

He teaches classical guitar and chamber music at the UGDA Music School and the Conservatory of the City of Luxembourg.
